I wonder how many people immediately pass on this boat due to the name?
I know I immediately wondered how much alcohol has been thrown back up on it and how trashed the interior is.

I would have been turned off more by that price. People are delusional.

I have no idea what the market is like for these bigger boats. Is $14k really that high?

It’s a Wisconsin boat, the name has nothing to do with the amount of beer puked off the back.

I don’t know the market either, but that certainly seems like a good deal of money for an old Silverton or whatever that is. I look at it in terms of existing value. I would guess that boat has gassers - so maybe $15 00 in actual value for the pair. I don’t see where the other $13,500 is. It’s not in the hull, because that thing is nothing special -it’s a Clorox bottle. It’s not in the interior, which you said is trashed, so I just don’t see it.
I see an old mid tier boat that is begging to have $10,000 dumped into it to get it ready for the season. Everything related to boats is stupid expensive. Christ painting the bottom of that boat would cost you $1400 by the time you paid to have it stripped and painted. The paint alone would cost $600 if you used something like M icron CSC which is good in fresh water.

WAY high. Unless it has brand new engines.

Curious as to what an appropriate price would be for this...$8000? Even l ess?

The ask is not out of line for this, but you’d need to know the model year, engine hours, recent maintenance, equipment etc.

No it’s not.

I hate trashy boat names, I just saw one the other day with a name I can’t remember, but something sexual and wet themed . Clearly someone’s old bachelor boat, but he was out there with his wife and kids. Real classy dude .

Depending on the condition of the engines.... $3k? Old boats are cheap because of all the reasons listed above.

Yea, I don’t get it either. It’s really not funny and just makes you look like a complete tool.

Boat that is left out in the driveway on my street is named “coming in hot, pulling out wet”.

I enjoy some good water puns and dad joke level boat names, but once it gets sexual it’s pure trash.

We could probably fill a thread with classy boat names like that

My old boss' boat was the Tina Tuna, not too crazy, but not relevant to him, the boat came with it and he was too cheap to pay for new lettering.

$6k Final Offer.
But between you, me, and the internet, I would absolutely keep the name and park it next to the biggest, nicest yacht in the area.
Tilman Fertitta is going to be PISSED.

The other $13,000 is for the memories that were created on the boat. Although no amount will replace those, $13,000 is a good start.

Or he held the superstition that renaming a boat was unlucky

He was just a tight ass, his wife wanted it renamed after a favorite poem and he just kept bitching over the lettering cost. It was over 30 years old, who knows how many names it had over the decades.
He used to buy diesel at Wawa and Royal Farms and fill the tanks a few gallons at a time instead of paying the yacht club's markup. It rarely moved, he started the engines once in awhile to keep them maintained and had a diver check and clean the hull underwater once a year, but, otherwise, it was an entertainment platform and off site guest house for him.

I get a sensible chuckle out of the name “Seaward” due to its sneakiness, but it’s not a name I’d pick.
